Abrasive Waterjet Cutting – More Power

Abrasive Waterjet Cutting utilizes a similar technology to pure Waterjet Cutting with the addition of a fine abrasive material that increases cutting strength.  When a high velocity stream of water passes through the plate orifice it creates a vacuum which pulls abrasive from the abrasive line. When the two mix, the water accelerates the abrasive particles to speeds capable of cutting through stronger materials like metals and stone.

Our machines cut with an accuracy of +/- 0.005″.  Unlike Laser or Plasma cutting, no heat is utilized which eliminates HAZ (heat affected zone) and wasted material.  In most instances there is no need for additional tooling on parts as Abrasive Waterjet cut edges are clean and smooth.
